Designing this gracious home for close friends required an intricate balance between the traditional and the contemporary. In this new-construction residence we aimed to evoke the charm of a century-old estate, embodying the richness of history while seamlessly integrating modern comforts. We envisioned spaces adorned with timeless architectural details—think crown moldings and hardwood floors—paired with a modern, moody aesthetic that speaks to both warmth and sophistication. The floor plan prioritizes family connections and entertaining with open layouts that encourage easy movement, enhanced by thoughtfully chosen furnishings and finishes. Each room reflects a narrative of togetherness, ensuring that every gathering feels intimate and special, as though the residence has been a cherished family home for generations, now revitalized for modern living.
